European show debut for DDg

DDg’s first formal foray into the European market has generated a flood of enquiries and interest in the wide-ranging products and services they offer.

Potential customers from as far afield as Kazakhstan were impressed by the diversity offered by DDg during BRAU Beviale 2006 in Nuremberg, Germany, in November.

Visitors to the stand were particularly struck by some of DDg’s newest custom-designed products – the innovative Piccadilly range, created and produced for JD Wetherspoon plc, and the ultra-modern, cast aluminium Icicle font, both with condensation and LED illumination.

“We had a lot of positive feedback. Many of the people who came to our stand were very impressed with our advanced technical design capabilities and the emphasis on cooling to tap, which is an encouraging step forward in getting international recognition for our products and services,” said DDg’s managing director Jonathan Wildgoose.

“BRAU certainly offered a great opportunity to showcase our full range of products and services in the European marketplace for the very first time.

“On the whole, we were very encouraged by the level of interest and enthusiastic reception we received, and are hopeful that this will result in firm orders in the future. Depending on the results and feedback we receive over the next few months, we will certainly consider attending again in 2007.”

BRAU – attended by drinks industry exhibitors from 45 countries – also saw the European launch of the Draft Caddy, developed by Icefloe Technologies Inc.

Icefloe’s innovative In-Line Booster cooling technology, which ensures a reliable serving temperature for extra-cold beer, also attracted lots of attention from the trade.

Added Jonathan: “I think many people were impressed by the consistent performance of the Draft Caddy, which succeeded in dispensing lager at a constant 1.4 degrees Centigrade in glass throughout the exhibition.”
